Right here goes, let's see who can design the best ebay auction template, there will be a prize for the winner - 3 wooden desk puzzles worth £25!!

You have until the JANUARY 6th to design a template, submit all designs to this thread and then during the following week everyone will have 1 week to then vote for what they think is the best auction template. The winning template will also be listed on The Auction Templatepage!

All templates must comply with ebays policies on java, links, etc...

How to submit your design...

If you have your own webspace simply host it there and post a link in this thread.

If not, you can simply place the code into notepad or something similar, and attach it to an email to admin@powersellersforum.com - we will then host it on this site and provide a link for you.

Alternatively, if you're already using the template, simply post a link to your auction.

The competition is open to everyone - newbies, regulars, mods and admin, so good luck everyone!

PS, there's no limit on the amount of designs you can submit!!

Also just to note, i have loads of ideas for templates but would need images to jazz them up, unfortunately they need to be kept pretty basic, if they were ever used by others (which is the idea) then it wouldn't be practical to have 100's of people using your bandwidth.

In my first attempt i used small pics in the menu, but they're hotlinked from ebay so they'll be ok, i'm sure they won't mind, i guess their bandwidth isn't really an issue

They're very easy to make with great prizes on offer by PSF to the best template design/s. Also the best designers will have the honour of getting they're designs hosted and displayed on this site which is a great prize in itself IMO.

If you dont have anything like frontpage or other HTML editor you can always use the one ebay provide when listing.

come on guys n gals. some lovely prizes to be won. so far since this thread was started there has been 4 members who have submitted designs..

we need more.

I recommend using Microsoft FrontPage if you have it or can get it, it's what I use and it works well for me.

The problem with frontpage (and Word as an HTML editor too) is that it puts in so much unnecessary guff that if you go in to edit something by hand it is difficult to find the relevant code.
And if you get something wrong it really messes up!
Perhaps no one else edits things manually, I do like to make life difficult for myself...

i have the FP version that alows "split" this shows both the code and the design pages at once,

i highlight the design bit i wnt to edit, and it auto highlights the code at the same time, so i know where im looking then

(i do have a spare copy of this somewhere if anyone needs if )
