SYDNEY, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Rogue Wallaby James O'Connor's future in international rugby has been all but shattered, Thursday, following his early 'mutual' release from the remainder of his 2013 Australian Rugby Union (ARU) contract.

If the 23-year-old doesn't decide to swallow the huge pay cut or the Force also withdraw interest Cheap Air Jordans 6 Gatorade , O'Connor would be left to scratch out a career in French or Japanese rugby, or even look at a switch to domestic rugby league.

O'Connor's tenuous hold on his Wallaby jersey has now slipped entirely after the most recent of a string of off-field indiscretions when Federal police unceremoniously removed the boy-wonder of Australian rugby from Perth airport for public drunkenness following the Wallabies underwhelming loss to Argentina.

Commentator and former Australian great Peter Fitzsimmons summed up the feelings of a disillusioned Australian public when he said the player was now more trouble than he was worth to the team.

""There is no doubt that he is fabulously talented and perhaps the most naturally gifted player in the Wallabies,"" Fitzsimmons wrote in a weekly column. At his best, he is a joy to watch and a proven match-winner.""

""But his latest atrocity - being escorted from Perth airport by the Australian Federal Police for unruly behavior - was just the latest in a long line of dickhead displays Air Jordans 6 Retro Gatorade , and it really was time for him to have a rest and think about where he is going, and what his duty to the team is.

""Brand"" O' Connor - also colloquially known as ""Rebel without a clue"" - has simply become more trouble than he is worth.""

The 23 year old's future is now the subject of intense speculation.

O'Connor's early release from the remainder of his 2013 AU contract includes the loss of the ARU top-up contract for 2014 - valued at over half a million Australian dollars.

Under-fire ARU chief executive Bill Pulver on Thursday announced that the Perth incident would be the final straw.

Pulver said O'Connor had been released from the remainder of his 2013 contract by ""mutual agreement"", an ARU statement said.

""We appreciate James' contribution to Australian Rugby and his unique skill and flair when playing, but have determined that James must make some changes with respect to his off-field responsibilities and ensure that this approach is consistent with the values of our game,"" Pulver said.

Pulver said the ARU would consider reviewing its position regarding a national contract for 2015 and beyond Air Jordans 6 Gatorade For Sale , ""if we believe James' behavior is consistent with the values associated with being a Wallaby.""

Perhaps most infamously, O' Connor was all over social media after a 4am jaunt the week of the Wallabies' second Test against the British and Irish Lions.

An apparently chastened O' Connor has said the focus for the short-term will be to regain the respect of his teammates and 'move forward.'

""The Australian Rugby Union and I have mutually agreed to put the past behind us and move forward from today... As a professional, I am focused in developing as a person and as an athlete and intend to do everything possible to put myself in the best environment to do that.

""I want to apologize for any issues that I have caused and I want express my respect for my teammates, the Wallabies and the jumper. There is nothing more important and rewarding to me than representing my country.
